This is email I got after phoning 2checkout and telling that customers were complaining that their payments weren't being accepted and I had done three test orders, two of which failed.
ccavenue look like a good replacement. Based in India and they have very similar fees to checkout.com. Anybody had any experience with them?

I'm 99% sure I want to go with them. I think I'll use them as #1, with 2co as a backup. I love their live 'chat now' java app... I asked somebody called marketing2 a lot of fairly technical questions and got the answers I wanted right away. Not bad for somebody of that name :-)

I thought that to however a reputable (i.e many posts) poster from here said they had used them for 3 years and have had no trouble.
I would like to think that you are talking about me ;)
I read on WW that they had been around for a while, but had only recently started processing in USD - processing only in rupees would certainly keep them off the map!
Yes, thats correct.
Few positives about CCAvenue :-
1) Much Better Back End.
2) Timely payouts (not faced any delayed cheques or wire transfers in over 3 years I have been with them).
3) Better CC fraud tracking (Flaggin orders which seem suspicious).
Some Negatives about CCAvenue :-
1) If you are B2B service, then you dont have option to directly debit CC on monthly basis (They told me that the next standard would be Master card secure and VBV which does not allow this. However you can currently do this using 2CO).
Overall I am "satisfied" with them.
I think I'll use them as #1, with 2co as a backup.
I think that should give you fair idea to compare the two services :)
I think your question is quite generic in nature. There are various departments at ccavenue. My team has interacted with their technical guys and they were satisfied with their responses. I have personally interacted with their Accounts and Risk department, and I was satisfied by the answers by their Risk department (the interaction with accounts was regarding changing bank information and was done promptly).
If you have an account with CCavenue, the main guys to interact will most probably be Technical and Risk departments. I have not had major problems with ccavenue, only small ones and they were resolved quickly. HTH.
