I am starting a business and I applied with excellent credit to citibank/authorize.net and was turned down, for they fear anything internet related. They are concerned with chargebacks. I have a city and state business license and am bonded and insured as a tour broker. I have also formely incorporated with the state. I would like to only accept 25% deposits via cc for the tours and let the customer pay the 75% balance with the vendor.
I also have a business operating account with citibank. I am not going to use a shopping cart but rather a nice carefully constructed php/msql form for taking my reservations online.
Could someone recommend a processor i believe that is reasonable. Authorize.net/citibank wanted $299 setup fee, and .30 cents a transaction and 2.25%. I understand that can be as high as 5.5%. I have been referred to ipay.com and intertrans and ccbill. Opinions wanted. I would like to also hear from anyone in travel and tours.
