Now that Atomz has added sponsored ads to the results page of their free internal search engine I am in search of an alternative. It looks like all that are free now have sponsored ads and the least expensive ones are $250 per year.
I have less than 100 pages but since it is ecommerce I really need some sort of internal search.
This is a very low budget operation (hobby) that's starting to get expensive.
I've looked at a couple of software packages that can be bought for $100.00 but on 1 of them it stated system requirement of Windows 2000 and up. I'm on Windows 98. So that scared me off.
Does anyone know of any companies comparable to Atomz that does not use sponsored ads in the results, and they're still free, or at least cheaper? Not asking for much, am I?
Can't get mad at Atomz. I can't believe what they offered for free for the past years. Had to change.

Not companies, but there were a couple of suggestions for search in this thread [webmasterworld.com] a couple weeks ago right after the Atm-z announcement.
