Does PayPal notify the customer that the order has been made ?

I.e when someone places an order do they get a confirmation (of the order not acception) from Paypal straight away ?

Thanks in advance

Dazz

I think not. I've had two different clients mention that they'd gotten no notification.

I am not sure if that is true, becuase I have used PayPal for few times and all the times I received email from them as soon as the client made the payment. However, the amount for each transaction was more than $ 2000.00 - I don't know if this would make difference.

I think he's asking the opposite.

Yes, the person to whose account the money goes is notified.

But I think the question is does the person who SENDS the money notified.

I have used PayPal to pay my web host for various things, and always got a prompt receipt with details of the order, amount paid, etc. In fact there's even a place during the order process where I can enter extra comments and those show up in the email too.
