Well not that I really want to but it was time for change. Just so happens I need change now so I am looking for a solution for shopping cart solution. Currently I have static pages and because of paypal i had the add to cart buttons. Worked very well. Loved logging in to the paypal account and working with the orders but its time for something with more flexability. Id still like to keep my pages but Id like a shopping cart solution with the possibility of having affiliate program functionality.

What have people experienced from moving on away from PayPal to a merchant solution, pros and cons.

osCommerce.

Pro: Better in every way

Con: You have to understand some coding to set it up, and customizing the look and feel is a pain.

Authorize.net Simple-Integration Method

Pro: Does a lot of the hard work for you on the backend

Con: You still need to set up a shopping cart. Plus there have been some security issues associated with Authorize.net recently.

Custom, hand-built solution

Pro: The best, plain and simple

Con: Can be ridiculously time consuming and requires a great deal of knowledge. Or a great deal of money if you have someone else do it.
