Do I need a business license

Hi, I recently purchased a website in which i will be receiving payments thru paypal. Do I need a business license or a resellers cert or anything like this? It is a cigarette website where Im not really selling the product. I am providing a service to the customer in which i find them the best price thru the wholesaler, then the product is dropshipped to the customer from the wholesaler. I am really new to all of this and am wondering if anyone can answer these questions.

A business license is a totally local thing. The answer is probably yes but you would need to check with your city and state.

A good site to bookmark, explore and use as reference for questions like this is the Small Business Administration [sba.gov] (SBA). Note this is for U.S. based businesses, but I'm sure our brothers and sisters across the pond know of an equivalent resource.
