I just setup my own online shop with CAFEPRESS.COM
They offer variety of products available for sale.

I'm just curious to see if anyone had any success selling their stuff on your own site.

I would like to know if you have any marketing reports to share? What is your best selling item etc.

I have a site with them, but it doesn't get many sales. The profit made ends up going to cafepress for their monthly fees they charge... Basically it hasn't made a dime, but in the few years it's ran, it's likely made about 60 sales.

That's pretty bad news. I have a friend that just started working for them. I'm counting on him to get me some information about their best selling products.

I heard that the POLITICAL gear makes money with them.

Did you install any tracking scripts to see what people actually like?

What category your site is in if you don't mind?
My site is in girls/dating/broken hearts etc.

Well, like I said, it doesn't get much traffic, so it isn't going to get that many sales. The problem with cafepress is the base prices aren't cheap to begin with, so trying to make any kind of profit and you end up with very high marked up items that aren't worth it in my opinion.

On their site they have an option to get 15+ items.
Price to a T-Shirt drops from $15 to about $10 per item.

Could this be the answer? Buying the stuff yourself in bulk and then shipping it individually?

I know this doesn't make much sense but I think
CAFEPRESS stuff could be used as a GIVEAWAY on your own site to promote your own LOGO/BRAND etc..

Any thoughts?

It might be a solution to buy the T-shirts in bulk and sell them for yourself or giveaway as promotion.

Selling them however takes time off from other products that you perhaps make more money on selling.

I would look around first and see how the Cafépress bulk price compares to other similar services.

Good luck,

Daniel
