Hi There,

I am currently looking for a new shopping cart for my website...I will tell you what I am looking for as I now know what I have faulted on in the past...

1. I will *Definitely* need a shopping cart that has a 'dropshipping feature' built in. (meaning I would need to have the cart be able to accept mulit-ship *FROM* locations, as I have some products which will be shipped from another business location than mine.

2. I accept paypal payment's only, the cart will have to accept paypal, (and something I missed from other carts, was the IPN feature...This *MUST* be in it and ready to use without additional setup, or very little configuration on my part to get it to work. I am no programmer here

3. I *HATE* the part of having to login to my website *everytime* to purchase, but don't mind if you just have sign-up to make checkout quicker, (or newsletter sign-ups) in the sense of just having to add your name, & address/email to make checkout quicker, that's ok.

4. Must be browser based cart ( could be hosted, but reasonably priced )

5. A Really 'clean' admin area to add / update products.

6. Unlimited Categories / Unlimited Subcategories per category, as in:

Category Name:

Toys

[Consoles]
[Games]
[Console Accessories]
[etc..]

7. Additional Features would be great, affiliate program, banner advertise feature...You know the bells & whistles that make a great website...But don't forget the most important is what is stated up top of this message. My website is: removed and the cart I am using now is Sunshop 3.2.

Thank you for your time!

Hi There,

I tried oscommerce once before, and I am not too good with using it, I need a 'turnkey ready' style cart...I see that there is a module for dropshipping purposes, but I just can't fit that cart into my development schedule...It's got to be pretty quick to run, similar to how the sunshop 3.2 admin is..If you would like to see what the admin looks like on my site, I will show you.

I like OneShoppingCart.
Not sure about the drop shipping, but you can check out the trial copy or email them for an answer.

I think OSCommerce would be a good choice and you can host it anywhere.snipped

osCommerce is a powerful catalog application that allows you to offer goods and services for online ordering. It includes a merchant gateways for credit card processing such as PayPal, and a variety of other world-wide payment methods. The sleek tool allows you to store customer information, create invoices, track status, and generate newsletter. Little or no programming effort, requires a company logo.gif of course (Est Time: Install - 5 min)

I you want somthing simple - liek if osCommerce isn't simple enough then perhaps you should look into Yahoo Shops or similar.

Seems to me, no offence intended, that you may have to sacrifice a few needs if you want simplicity. Also this feature:

"1. I will *Definitely* need a shopping cart that has a 'dropshipping feature' built in. (meaning I would need to have the cart be able to accept mulit-ship *FROM* locations, as I have some products which will be shipped from another business location than mine. "

Is not simple.

As far as I know you'll need somthing custom to fullfill your needs. Maybe XCart or Interchange with a few mods will do the trick.

zen-cart - nice package based on OsCommerce but more "user friendly"
