Seems to be up now. Sometimes I get nervous that this company is just going to belly up and leave me holding the bag.

Same thing happend to me. I finally got rid of 2CO and moved to Authorize.net just last week. Sales have improved so much since dropping 2CO. I'd recomend anyone processing more than $1,200 a month start looking into getting yourself an Authorize.net account and a merchant account.

Going belly up, Hmmm interesting idea.
Any reason why you think this may happen?

Well, it seems to be rather plagued by a significant set of issues. This doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, and leads to these niggling fears. Plus, 2Checkout doesn't exactly seem to have a big name (like paypal/ebay) or long operating history behind it.
I wonder if the money that is supposed to be transfered to the vendors is placed in a trust or something before it's transfered into our accounts.

They charge a lot too! They'd take out a few dollars from every order of mine! Having an authorize/mechant account I only loose about $0.90 an order.
I think I've lost $500 or $600 to 2CO and they have horrible service. More profesional looking then paypal on your own website, but still crap.

Another thing - It took them forever to pay me via cheque.
