PayPal Mastercard Benefits

According to Mastercard, "BusinessCard" holders are eligible for benefits such as the MasterRental program for car insurance on a rental car.

I just spoke with someone at 1-800-MC ASSIST who confirmed my card had all the benefits activated. They were going to send me a benefits package, but being in Canada their system wouldn't take my postal code.

I was planning on renting a car next week so I'm hoping that if I use my PayPal MC I can avoid having to pay for the extra insurance. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Just spoke with a Paypal card rep and she confirmed that Paypal debit card holders ARE covered under the MasterCard Benefits package.

Does that apply to the Debit card? I never applied for the PayPal credit card, but I do have a "PayPal Mastercard" that's a debit card where I can withdraw money from my PayPal balance and stuff.

A regular bank debit card that's Mastercard is valid for car rental, there wouldn't be any reason why others would be exempted from benefits if they're part of the same program.
