Hello,

I have occasionally manned the Live Chat system on my e-commerce website and I found it it definitely appeared to help. I already have 24 x 7 800 Order Line and I was considering adding the Live Chat support 24 X & also.

Does anyone have any comments on this plan? And also if anyone wants to sticky a recommendation for such a service, please do.

We are going to have a Live Chat as well as Email and 1800 number but the plan is to outsource it within the first 6 months of our next venture (as soon as the incoming money covers the expense). Our time is better served working on the 'harder questions' that the oursource cannot answer and working on making our service better than constantly being bombarded with the 95% of the same questions (75% of which are already answered in the FAQs). So, my plan is have it but outsource it as soon as you can so you can focus on keeping everything working well.

Just my .02 worth,
Matt

I think the plan with both a phone number and live chat 24/7 will improve your sales tremendously. I have stickied you a company that I recommend.

Hey Guys - If you are still interested in finding a outsource for chat/phone - let me know. I have one that has even done it on a rev share model. My contact info is listed below if you are still interested.
(They have the smart business rule technology as well, they optimized the hell out of your traffic!)

The price for chat session with a Romanian operator is about $1 and min. monthly subscription is about $200 (300 chat sessions included). In Canada you can obtain the same service for about $2-5 per chat session.

Wow - That is pretty high. I can get it a lot cheaper. The $ per min/chat model just doesnt work.

Its not cost effective to do so.
