Hi,

We're an Australian registered company running a travel website, we're based in Cambodia and Thailand, the site is hosted in the US and we have just strated a bank account with Westpac (in Australia) with a view to using their merchant facilities.

Now Westpac are saying that we have to host the site in Australia and all transactions are required to be in Australian dollars - of course they never mentioned either of those points to us before we started the account!

Any suggestions on how to get around this? Another option is (cringe) to use St George, but others experience in this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks

You certainly don't need to host the site in Australia.

But if you are using an Aussie bank then they may have you on the currency.

To offset this we allow the user to display which currency they want to have the prices in. We have about 20 different currencies they can choose from. It just gets sent in the end to SecurePay in Australian dollars.

We use Westpac as our bank and SecurePay as our gateway.

Email me off-list or Sticky Mail if you would like some more info.

Thanks,
Cam
