Currently we are using Storefront as our... well store front. I am not that impressed with its user friendliness or it in itself. Is there another shopping cart/database program that would be a good candidate to replace this? Something that would be compatible with uploading products using Excel or Access. Just a little information about the site, it has/will have an upwards of 50,000+ products in it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone here even use Storefront? Is there someone out there that can enlighten me with a user friendly program that is similar in functions (but maybe better)? Thanks again.

It requires frontpage - that eliminates 95% of our webmasters.

I am using Dreamweaver with it right now, I am just not that impressed with it. It is compatible with Dreamweaver, its just not that user friendly imho. I am looking for something a little more user friendly and that works with Dreamweaver.

Thanks in advance.

Actinic is quite good, Access backend, I'm not sure about it being able to handel 50,000 product though. It's a while since I've used it , but I'm pretty sure that there is a developer version that interfaces with Dreamweaver.

DW version has been out for at least a year (I think maybe two).

I started out using SF99. I left off at SF6 as I do not agree with licensing and piracy controls (Don't get me going on that subject ;)). Allthough teh move to .NET seemed wise.

My last site I used OSCommerce. I really like the product and the add ons. Well you know the prices associated to those with third party developers for SF (shudder). OSC has community add ons that are...free. Now I know free does not make a product good but with OSC I really think it is a win win.

Also using OSC it will get you off of a Win server and the security issues lessen greatly.

IMHO.

Take care,

Brian
