I work at a small construction/electrical company. Occassionally we have customers that come in and want to pay their bill with credit card.

Now, when I say OCCASSIONALLY - I mean OCCASSIONALLY
3 per year?

But it would be nice to accomodate them.

Does anyone have any idea how to accept credit card without having to set up the customer a paypal account or anything like that?
The inhouse machines are just too expensive for 3 transactions per year 'tops'.

Thankseveryone

Ask your bank about setting up a merchant account. I think you could process these cards over the phone so you wouldn't need to buy the point-of-sale equipment. If you sign up for a long-term committment (3 or 4 years), the setup fee should be pretty low. (they may even waive it off).

There may be surcharge for manually processing the phone-in charges. But that would probably be small compared to losing an entire job because you couldn't take a credit card.
