Are discounts good enough from TechData, Ingram, or others to allow a small business to compete on price with say NewEgg.com or Ebay?
Where do the ebay people get their "shrinkwrapped" products?

The only chance you have got are products from manufacturers who enforce price controls on the Internet vigorously i.e. those who will not allow Newegg and co. to dump products at low prices.

You have to buy in bulk. If you can afford to buy 10,000 lps you should be able to sell that many. Then yo can compete with the big boys.

I think this may trun into a rehash.....but
As a small business owner you have to oprtimize your current customers...eliminate fraud...and create repeat shoppers

There is absolutely no way to compete with NewEgg. You could offer better service or support to make up for higher prices... but that'd be had because newegg is very good at that too. The other thing you'd have to work with is FedEx or another carrier. A big thing with NewEgg is that many of their items have FREE shipping! I don't know how they do it.
