I have a website selling mobile content. Initially I have decided to accept payments via Paypal. However on paypal site I have read that business accounts are charged 2.9 % + 30 cents per transaction and personal accounts can receive it for free "However they MAY NOT accept credit cards". As I sell content for $ 1.75 30 cents per transaction is a lot of money for me. So should I go for a personal account or I have to take business account. My customers are not limited to US and Canada but worldwide.

You have to use a business account. Less than 5% of our PayPal sales are paid using e-cheques, the rest are paid with credit card. Morover, none of our non-US customers have ever paid with e-cheques.

So personal accounts can only accept echeques. Soon I would like to incorporate credit card processing can you suggest some good merchants. I am based in India.
