I am currently looking into developing a small ecommerce site that utilizes Flash. Ideally Flash can be integrated into the back-end functionality of processing orders. First I was wondering how complex this would be, and what it involves. Second, if the Flash was only used for graphic purposes, what kind of vendor should I look for to have shopping cart functionality, order processing, site stat tools and the like.

A webstore front like Yahoo store would be a good start except they're templates are not free form. Any advice on store fronts like these that you can fully customize the design including using Flash?

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Ryona,

I have seen a couple of Yahoo! Stores incorporating Flash. All of the standard templates can be customized, but there is a small learning curve. Most of my clients do love the Y! Store interface though, so it is worth the effort.

Our company specializes in designing and programming flash applications.. (such as flash shopping carts, etc..)

Should you still have the need to source out flash functionality for your system.. I'd be happy to give thoughts on how it would work from the flash side...
