A customer has placed 2 identical order, one using credit card, another through Paypal.

We notified him the problem immediately and refunded the paypal payment.

Then the person emailed saying he does not see the refund on the credit card statement. He still sees 2 charges one from Paypal, another from my company.

I already told him that the amount refunded is in his Paypal account, and it will not show on the credit card statement. He can easily make the withdrawal from Paypal to any of his bank account.

The person seems to be clueless about how paypal works. And he thinks paypal is my company (i wish). I am worried that he will call his card company and place a chargeback because of this. Can someone suggest a way to handle this?

Send him a copy of the paypal refund paper work with a covering letter explaining how it it works.

Painful but so.
