Is ebay very useful for selling stuff locally?

Stuff you won't pay to ship.

Something big that I don't want to pay to ship. Wondering if I should just go with the local classifieds.

It depends. Your item listed may sell tomorrow, or it may take several months. It depends on when a local buyer finds your item on any venue. You can also try free resources like craig's list for selling stuff locally. Since you are in Dallas, there is [dallas.craigslist.org...]

You might also try local papers that offer free listings. The only investment you put in is your time.

Thanks sun.

Anyone tried livedeal.com? Founded by a former ebay employee, I believe. That site is about local selling. I wonder how they're doing (from a business standpoint).
