Where can I find this type of shopping cart software?

I need a cart just for the backend order processing...

Hi, I am looking for a shopping cart script that I can use only for the backend checkout/add to cart/payment/post sales features. I want to fully design all the index and product pages and add the add to cart/buy now buttons to the pages I design, then when clicked the script takes over from their. Are there any carts that will allow me to add the code for 'add to cart' / 'buy now' buttons to my pages? The cart must process paypal and credit card payments through ECHO. Any recommendations?

Thanks
Tom

You could certainly use OSCommerce for this. You would need to add the products to the database and copy the purchase button code from the product details output (product_info.php)

Only problem if you have more than one product is, once you enter OSCommerce to process an add to cart, you will not be able to exit back to your html pages.

ClickCartPro will let you do that, it has a remote API that will let you post from outside the cart program from another page (static or not) - it works with Echo, PayPal and a whole list of others.

Would it be possible to pop the OSC checkout pages in a new window with a header frame that has a link to 'return to product listings' which simply closes the OSC popup window? Would that be a good plan?

Thanks

Or modify the script so the 'continue shopping' buttons return the user to my sites index page. Would that solve the problem is I used OSC?

Thanks

www.ecommercetemplate.com the generic template is designed just for that. The standard intergrates with paypal and the Plus intergrates with most common merchant accounts and has a custom payment provider pages. It also offers has capture card feature should you decide you want to process cards on you site, you would only need a ssl certificate and encryption.

Hi webtress

I had not heard of that so I've been to their website to have a look. Currently, not one of their example sites work :-D

Do they always host the cart side of the project or is that optional?

There is only one cart which can do this without any modification: litecommece.

You can switch off the shop catalog altogether and have the backend only.

We use this feature to plug the cart into 4 different web sites.

Mals-e is probabably the best place you go for your ecommerce specifications.
