Just wondered whether this was a shared experience (this is my first year of business) but the moment the sun came out over here, my hits and sales dropped sharply.

It's not particularly concerning for me, since the business is just a little something on the side to earn some pocket money, but I wondered if anyone else sees this trend on a yearly basis, and which sectors it affects (mine is clothing).

Weekend was very very slow on my sites - which is fair enough most people should have been outside enjoying the sun (I was working though :()

As with most things it depends on the site topic etc.

Travel sites tend to do better in the summer and my gardening site is doing very well at the moment.

The great weather last weekend definitely cut our traffic too.

Don't worry j4mes, the British summer never lets us down ;)

Last weekend was really slow for me, but I am a UK based site aimed at US customers.

Quiet times come and go. I try to use a quiet spell to work on site improvements.

Slow for us aswell. The number of visitors was half what we would normally expect from a weekend.

Priorities change when there are beer gardens calling!

This is the first summer we've encountered having only been established 10 months.

Our sales dropped to a quarter of usual over the weekend but picked up again on Monday and are back again.

Looks like friday/weekends are going to be slow - but this is to be expected. Who wants to sit on the internet buying widgets when they can be sat in the garden relaxing and drinking beer? ;)

Yep my visitors are down around 305 which is odd considering I sell outdoor and boating gear.

I blame Essex_boy. If he's selling outdoor gear then he's encouraging people to pursue outdoor stuff and not sit at their computers ;)
