I'm from China and have some money in my PayPal account. I opened a HSBC saving account and tried to registered with PayPal.
The problem is, which address should I use since I'm not a resident of Hong Kong?
It's ok if I use a forged address. But when my account is limited, PayPal Customer Service will ask me to fax address proof, it will be troublesome.
any ideas? thanks in advance. :)

If it comes to that, there are companies that offer a virtual office in Hong Kong. You will be given a physical address, a telephone no. and some level of secretarial services. It will only cost around $150-$400 per month.
However, unless you have a lot of fraudulent orders, you are unlikely to get problems with PayPal. To guard against that, I would recommend frequent withdrawals so that should your account be frozen, there would not be a lot of money in it.
I'm so serious about this 'coz my PayPal account was suspended once. To be frank, I'm from mainland China but used HK identity to sell on ebay. Then my ebay account was suspended, so was my PayPal account. Due to security issue, they wouldn't tell me the reason. Is it because of my fake HK address( how did they notice that?), or because of my mal-addressed item description if there's any? They wouldn't tell me anything about it, and just tell me to read through the User Agreement, from which I can't get anything helpful. :(
Also, my PayPal was suspened almost the same time. I doubted eBay informed PayPal to do so, 'coz PayPal is the owner of PayPal. Am I right, do yo think?
The reason of the PayPal suspention is Unusual Activity, I then consulted what is Unusual Activity. I asked this just to prevent me from violating again, again, refer to User Agreement pls.
Now I'm so scared to do anything.
But I think PayPal is well-meaning, I don't think he makes money by freezing account but by traffic. Now I'm still going to have my customers pay by PayPal, and I'll follow your fantastic clues to avoid loss of money.
There comes another issue. If I make a withdrawal, and then as you know the status of the withdrawal will be Pending, and after about 2 days, the status will be Completed. If my PayPal account is suspended before the money has got to my HSBC bank account, are they able to cancel the withdrawal? How about the status of Pending? And Completed? Note that even the status is Completed, the money could be still on the way to my HSBC account.
Thanks again.
If your PayPal account is registered to a Chinese address, the option to withdrawal to any bank will simply not show up in your account. You have to put down an address in Hong Kong.
I suspect the reason why eBay has suspended your account is that someone made a complaint to eBay that you were selling goods that may have infringed copyright or patent. This has happened to several persons from Hong Kong whom I know. In most cases, they simply did not that there were patent issues involved.
The thing to do in future is to make sure that you make frequent withdrawals.
