What is the standard to be removed from unsolicated email ads? It used to be immediatley, now I am seeing "allow 48 hours" up to 2 weeks to be removed from our list. During that 2 week period, I still receive email from them. Is this legal?

The "standard" is for those people to not only ignore your unsubscription requests, but if possible to use them to verify that your email address works so that they can send you more crap in the future.
As for the legality, it depends on the jurisdiction, and has not been tested in most, it seems.
People who send unsolicited commercial email should suffer a thousand years of interminable itching.
