I have completed a sale for $40, the buyer didnt have a credit card and I didnt want to take a US cheque so I asked for US sweets.

Seems like a good dea to me, any one else done anything similar?

I asked an Irish buyer to send me Bailey's Tea one time. I think its far more interesting to trade products unique to a country than receiving cash.

Sure ..I translate for lots of stuff and wearing one of my other hats ..paint and sculpt in exchange for lots of stuff too ....

Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling to know that you're beating your local equivalent of the IRS out of something ...I try to make at least 10% of what I do this way ...

( off topic ) there used to be in London in the early seventies a setup called "gentle ghost" which a lot of us were involved which took this virtually all the way .....

you could for example trade fixing a car for baby sitting or music lessons or whatever via a sort of swaps board ....

AAAAAhhhhhh takes me back ...I can just hear Grace Slick starting up the song ..... : ))
