I am currently using a ASP for my shopping cart and store. I am pretty happy with them, the one drawback is that they are not very search engine friendly.
What is the general consensus about going with a ASP vs. buying the software and then hosting it myself.
Seems like an ASP will be easier for me to deal with. Is that true?

As far as search engine friendly - if you find a host that support URL re-write, that will help to support some SE optimization techniques.
