I'm looking for a payment processor that also can handle their client's customer credit card problems. IE: If a customer buys something from a website and has an issue with the credit card going through, instead of calling up the website they are trying to purchase from, they call up the payment processor to handle the issue. I've researched and found that 2 companies do this, PaySystems and NetBilling, but I was looking for a more comprehensive list of processors. If anyone could direct me towards a processor that also handles customer service, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Netbilling is only a gateway - you still need a processor.

It sounds like you are looking for a third party processor - like Paysystems or 2CO. These are two of the bigger plaers in the aggregator world (besides Paypal).

The reason they handle your customers, etc is because their name appears on the CC statement - not yours.

As far as not going thru - can you give some scenarios? I mean, not being approved? Then they should call their CC company. If it is a problem with the gateway (like Netbilling) you can put the number their for the gateway - if in fact it is a gateway issue though.

Here is an exert from myPaySystems:
"myPaySystems is truly unique in that we offer live and web-based consumer billing support. Consumers can view their purchase through our online transaction center or they can call the myPaySystems’ consumer billing support center with their inquiries. At myPaySystems, agents are trained to resolve any billing issue, reducing fraud and potential chargebacks. Any issue that requires your intervention will be forwarded to you via our automated ticketing system. This allows you to have your customer billing support run 24-7 effortlessly!"

I don't think all gateways offer this service. I have a client who has customers calling him up when their cards get rejected or when fraud is suspected and the card isn't accepted. He wants to find a gateway that handles the customer service for that particular area.

Well if 2CO's name appears on the CC statement & the consumer suspects fraud, the consumer will go to the 2CO website.

When it is not accepted, it depends on how the merchant has his/her system set up. Did the AVS not validate properly or did the CCV not match?

You might also check out Yahoo Merchant Services. They will allow you to have a real merchant account while everything run thru them. You also pay a higher percentage like with Netbilling to handle that.
