I've been asked to create a web page for a client selling one-of-a-kind items. This is my first storefront & I'm just beginning to research the subject. I'm wondering where to start -
Benefits/drawbacks of shopping portals like Yahoo?
A hosting co. I've used offers both Agora & Interchange through cPanel...opinions of these options?
Issues & considerations re: payment options?
Do most handle display of "SOLD" inventory (since his products are each unique)?
What info do I need from the client to analyze the best option from a cost perspective?

I know I'm all over the place w/ this...just looking for someone to point me in the right direction! Thx.

If you are only selling one product you really do not need all that much. You can even use straight HTML & post info to a secure gateway (like LinkPoint) and have LinkPoint capture the CC data.
