SSL Certs: here we go again

Looking fro good SSL provider review

The more I search for quality information on SSL certificate providers. I've Googled, I've searched these forums....I get links to [whichssl.com ], [whichssl.org ], [sslreview.com ], etc... but these are sites owned by cert providers.

Does anyone have links to a reasonably open, independent and realistic review of SSL providers? How about tips, suggestions, opinions...

I'm hosting a bunch of sites for various people and many of them are looking to go e-commerce (low-volume, but they all dream big :) ) What do others in similar situations do?

Thanks in advance,
mG.

The whichssl info is indeed hosted by codomo, the parent
company of instantssl. However, the information provided
is valuable and reasonable.

I have been successfully and happily using instantSSL
on all my websites and my client's websites for a while
without any problem. Moreover, they offer a nice trustlogo
that reassures the surfer (potential client) that this site
is safe, secure and insured for $2.5K or $10K depending
on the certificate you choose.

For $70, you can't beat that!
I see no good reason to spend more money on a twate or
verisign certificate ($200 and $800 respectively last
time I looked!).

Cheers!

I agree with scoob. I've been using Comodo for over 2 years now, and haven't had any problems with them whatsoever. And, the TrustLogo is a nice added touch.

Agreed.

Comodo Cert has been great for us as well.

Their website looks a little messy but we've used GeoTrust certs from EV1Servers [ev1servers.net] and have had no problems. The last one we bought was 50 bucks.
