I'm looking to getting into starting an internet business. Not sure what ave. to take. I see alot of affiliate programs, turnkey businesses, estores etc.

1. What would be a good direction for a newbie?
2. Approximatly, what is a decent amount of Capital to get me off the ground.
3. What would be the best promotion/marketing concepts?
4. How would I get a site listed in the SE's. Should I pay for SE submission etc.

any help would be apprecieated. I'm hoping to make some suplimental income and see that many people do so using the internet. So I decided to give it a try.

Thanks in advance for any input :)

What type of Internet business are you thinking about?

It really depends.

I usually recommend that people start off, small and gradually work their way up.

The key is the complexity of the coding of your site.

There are plenty of sites that are free/low-cost, but that provides less options in complexity.

When you are first starting out, it is cheaper to develop a reputation and the skills to be an affiliate for the kinds of products/services you want to sell...

Then after you get the hang of it, determine what shopping cart, and payment system, then it starts to get more expensive.

Although some web hosts offer a variety of ecommerce options.

The reason i recommend people start out small and just be affiliates, is that having an ecommerce site, will accrue costs, while you are still just learning the biz.

You don't want to accrue all these monthly bills, until you have a steady demand for your product knowledge and expertise.

Thanks for the advise. I pretty much figured on taking the affiliate route due to my lack of knowledge.

Hi Repmek:
I can tell you another company which can help you in this connection. [ikobo.com...] , they transfer online money in more than 170 countries around the world. Charge very low fees. Provide you merchant account facility, credit card processing facility and many other added features. First trial sending money is free of any fee.
Just go through their website and tell me what do you think about it.

If you are looking for turnkey service look to Nexternal

www.nexternal.com

I read a nice article on them in Internet Retailer last week.
