How to handle multiple paypal payments?

managing monthly paypal payments

I need to do some monthly payments to (at the moment) 25-30 people using paypal. Doing this manually is of course out of question, so is there maybe a script that I could use for managing these payments? Any ideas?

Check into Paypal subscriptions. They work pretty well for that type of thing. I've actually got about 1,000 active subscriptions.

maybe I didn't understand what you suggested, but I just want to underline the fact that I'd like to pay a number of people on a regular basis (different amount all the time) - not receive money from a number of people.

Is this a long term thing? and will the list grow?

It's likely to be a long term thing and hopefully the list will grow. To be more specific... it's kind of a speciality banner network that is about to be launched so I need some way to pay people (if it included some way of organizing data relating to past and future payments, then that would be great). Receiving money is no problem - a few lines of php to customize paypal, and I have what I need. Find it primitive to use paypal for this? Well, this is kind of a hobby thing (at the moment) with a zero budget, i.e. I'm not really interested in those hugely sofisticated scripts for $500...

There was always something like "Mass Payments" on PayPal, but it is/was for US members only.

The FAQ still say:

Q: What is the difference between a Non-U.S. Personal account and a Non-U.S. Business/Premier account?

A: Business and Premier accounts have access to our premium services, including the ability to accept credit card payments, 7 day-a-week access to our customer service call center, Mass Payment, and PayPal Website Payments.

I do not have a US account, so I can't see that feature. Maybe they complete removed it and the reference to it in the FAQ is a left-over.

I didn't know about this... I had a look at [paypal.com...] and I couldn't find anything on whether it's only for US or not. I hope it will work for europe as well cause otherwise it won't work for me either. I'm gonna have a closer look at this...

I can't find this topic at paypal anymore. Either I'm getting blind or maybe it wasn't available to non-US accounts so they removed it... Does anyone know if it's available to non-US accounts or not (mass payment)?

Mass Pay is the feature you're looking for.

If you have a PayPal account, check out info here:
[paypal.com...]

If you don't have a PayPal account, the basic info is available here on an unlogged-in page:
[paypal.com...]

note: Mass Pay fees are charged to the *sender*, not the *reciever*, at the rate of 2% (capped at $1 per txn max). if you don't want to pay fees, you may want to build that into the cost of the payments you make to your recipients.

hope this helps,
