How to deal with fraud?

How to prevent myself from losing money when working with unfair customers?

Hello.

I want to open service similar to elance at the local market. So I will connect designers/programmers and people who need their services. I have to transfer money from one side to another and I think there will be many fraudulent orders: somebody will place an order for himself, wait until money come and then chargeback his payment.

How can I prevent myself from losing money? Any real experience?
Thank you.

Best regards. Max.

Implement VbV and MCSC.

You will be guaranteed payments on 100% of your VISA transactions, and a portion of enrolled MasterCards. It will either eliminate your chargebacks or cut them significantly.

This capapbility will also allow you to aceept international transactions, and certain transactions you wouldn't necessarily accept before.

Most people aren't well informed on how these changes have evolved since last January. I can recommend an excellent vendor who has just recently began a merchant direct program. They had previously catered to larger companies and resellers, but now they will implement directly with any merchant who applies.
