HI I live in Canada and own a company we are incorp. and our business is out our home. We are looking for a company that will set us up with a merchant account and process our transactions.
We would like to either do transactions by phone or have the credit cards authorized by online.
We are also looking for that company to put the money into our business account right away.
We have tried going through the bank but don't have good credit so thats no good.
Anyone have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check out Paradata: www.paradata.com

They are a repudible canadian processor. They may be able to help.

Hi Thanks for recomending paradata. We were really struggling with finding someone. I hope they will be able to help us, as we are growing very fast and need credit card set up immediately as we are losing customers. Thank you again.

Hi Alka- nice to know there are other Canadians here.

I'll echo the recommendation to go with Paradata and suggest you contact the Credit Union- they had some of the lowest rates I could find.

We used to use Paradata via Moneris. You should be aware that the CC Network in Canada does not support Address Verification (AVS) nor the card verification number (CVV2).

So if you are selling goods prone to card fraud you won't have much in the way for card verification.

It was worthwhile for us to open an account at a US bank and switched to PARADATA US via Moneris.

Hi Danieljean. I talked to paradata and they require a credit check as well as maybe a deposit. As we don't have the worst credit it's the best either.
We are looking for someone that we don't have to do a credit check with and will provide the merchant numbers. Any other suggestions?

You might try Paysystems.

You should try to work through Moneris or someone that uses the PARADATA (ClearCommerce) back-end, typically they will be involved with your Candadian bank. Moneris = Royal Bank for CDN Visa and Bank of Montreal for CDN Mastercard.

They will scrutinize you and your business and it will cost upto $500 per card to setup (can be negotiated). You might want to try a different route for your online card processing.

Try www.beanstream.com

Minimum monthly fee comes to something 43 Canadian, I believe. Relatively easy to register.
But if you need fast - I personaly think to start with 2checkout.com, mypaysystems.com have no history on google and bad testimonials on alexa.com

2checkout.com is the way to go for sure.

I'm in Canada, I use them. Works fine for me, US$50 one-time for setup plus some per transaction fees. Not really a merchant account, they let you use THEIR merchant account.

2checkout.com pay the funds to the business in how many days?
And do you guys have any other suggestions as to any other companies that will let you use their merchant account or give you one without a credit vheck. And that will pay the business in real time?
