Considering adding it to a site

A large part of our business is from catalogs. I've been thinking of adding a way for users to quickly add items to the cart. They enter the quantity and exact product code (SKU) and the items are added to the cart. It will bypass any product information and details and will only require a quick click-thru verification.

I pretty easy to do. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this. And do people actually use it?
