My site has disappeared for the last 2 days. I am emailing the host company and the the guy who done the advanced programming and arranged the hosting but they are not replying. What can I do about it and can anybody suspect what the problem might be?
many thanks

Maybe your hosting company went bust. Can you get into your files at the hosting company? What is the URL of your site?

It is quite possible that your hosting company is a reseller. If they have not paid the hosting fees, then their account will be shut.

Another possibility is that there is genuinely some technical problems. The thing to do is to check whether their own site is available or not. If not, then they would probably not be able to accept your e-mails either.

You look try looking up the WHOIS information of the domain of your hosting company and see whether you can get their telephone no.

If you have all the files for your website, you can set up hosting with another company straightaway and transfer your domain to them.

What ever happens, you should change the web hosters after this. I would look for ones with at least a 99.9% uptime guarrantee and/or telephone support in emergency situations.
