Just relocated myself in a new city and had to start things from scratch. Day job can pay the bills, rent and food. No saving. Living single and have a very modest lifestyle.

I am looking to start of a part time web business. I am located in Mumbai therefore would not be able to sell goods online cause then I have to ship it overseas. I am looking at a business in which the fulfillment happens online itself, and has no offline component involved.

What would you suggest to me to start off?

It's hard to say without knowing what you can do, and what you're interested in.

From what I can see, the only things you could sell and fulfil online are software downloads and eBooks...

Maybe some sort of subscription service would be better?

You can also try to use affiliates or drop shippers. Then somebody else woudl take care of the offline part and you would basically promote products.

This seems to work well for many. Depending on your skills I'm sure you can find others to partner with a pool skill sets. Personally I do that all the time.

Build Virtual Real Estate.

I am just starting to look into selling a couple of profitable sites myself...

Basically, Build a site that sells or promotes well and then sell the site.

What translating English into Hindi, Urdu, Telegu, etc? Or positioning yourself to work as a go between for companies who outsource web work to India? What about being a part time headhunter?

There are a million ideas...
