Ok i think i have miva merchant completely setup.... the only problem is that it is a giant url.

Is there a way I can get miva to launch on my main index.html page?

Thanks

They're always giant URLs. They've only recently begun to be crawled and indexed by Google if they're without Session IDs, but other search engines aren't quite so adept.

Will your Miva pages be spiderable, and can they be individually optimized for search engine placement? By that, I don't mean just page titles and meta tags. If it could launch on the main index page, you could find yourself without pages that get search engine rankings, if that'll be of concern for the site.

I do know someone who can customize Miva for their own site so most of the site is search engine friendly, but what I've had to do with Miva sites is make sure relevant flat HTML content pages were put on the site - and excluding the cart from crawling altogether made a dramatic difference in rankings. Without that the site would be relying on PPC forever.

You might want to check that aspect out if you'll be wanting regular search engine rankings.
