I have a digital art e-commerce site that allows customers to soft-download designs once a design has been purchased. I am contemplating running a membership script that will alwow customers for a "fee" to download designs at 50% off.
My question to anyone who has done this before, is that did you find that you had increased sales after you added the membership program. Any thoughts on this would be great.

Membership schemes can help build repeat business. They are alos a great way of building a customer / potential customer database that you can market to (email special offers etc.). Offering discounts to members is a great incentive to get them to sign-up.
