Ecommerce Shopping Cart Software

I need to obtain personalized information for my products, when purchased.

I sell individually personalized items. I need to find storefront or shopping cart software that will allow me to obtain personalized information from the customer to add to these products, at the time of purchase. Can anyone help me, please. Thank you.

On this occasion, I'm going to ask you to elaborate a little. Are you talking about adding your name to a "corporate gift" (pens etc), or are we talking about printing user submitted artwork on T-shirts here, or what?

I can think of a couple of possibilities, depending on what you are after

I sell personalized children's books, which I need to obtain several bits of personal information for......child's name, age, birthday, mom's name, dad's name, 3 friend's names, etc. As you see, I need to have several personalized fields. I have seen carts that will allow maybe two, but I'm having trouble finding one that will allow me to obtain the amount of information I need.

Thanks for any help you can give me. I am new to this, but I love learning new things, so I'm determined.

Can you figure out a way to pass all the information you need as one piece of form data delimited by a special character? Something like this:

childname¦age¦dob¦mom¦dad¦friend1¦friend2¦friend3

It might require some programming on the front end, but it shouldn't be difficult. A programmer should be able to do it 1-2 hours writing and testing the code.

Do a search for Cartserver - their carts (and several others) can do pretty much anything, and should be able to handle what you need.

Used them before and had good luck and no downtime.
