Weird Browser behaviour

input style follows me around

I was recently at a site where their form input fields had a background of solid yellow. After I was done using the site I went back to my site and lo and behold, input fields on my site were yellow as well.... What?

Tested on some other sites... sure enough, all subsequent sites with input fields had yellow backgrounds in the input area.

Now the kicker is that it's not EVERY input that the browser does this on, but it does it on the same ones everytime I refresh.

I checked out two fields that were EXACTLY the same except for the input name, one had the yellow background and the other didn't. They were both in the same form.

I cleared history, deleted internet files, even re-upped by stylesheet (even though I knew it wasn't just my site), control-refreshed... everything. Input fields still yellow.

Incidentally, the form I'm filling out right now to post this does NOT have yellow backgrounds.

WEIRD... I'm guessing it'll go away if I reboot my machine, but it's kinda weird and cool so I may keep it for evidence :)

Any thoughts?

Let me guess you installed the new Google Beta toolbar? :)

The new autofill feature colors the input fields yellow if they are eligible to be used with the autofill feature. You can turn off the autofill feature and still use the rest of the toolbar.

I finally had to turn it off cause every time I created a web page with a form on it, people looking over my shoulder were complaining about the form fields being yellow. :)

aha! I did install the toolbar. I thought I was going nuts there for a second. (And wondering why so many people were using that ugly colour for their fields).

lol, that was funny.
