Bad Idea -- IMO.

First the idea of the forum is to share ideas, observations, knowledge and skills and alot less about sharing personal opinions (even though alot of that is thrown in).

Providing constructive criticism for site reviews is open to opinion and may be bias to that person field of expertise - from people who may not have a clue about your specific industry or your specific markets... possibly leading you down a bad path

In this case getting feedback from customers/clients is better than anything WebmasterWorld could do for you.

The flip-side - would be members not wanting a membership to the community and participating in open discussion - just here to get a free service every few weeks.

If every member did this - no open discussions would take place, no one would offer anything just waiting around for something free.

Participating in discussions will get you alot, on your own and your site will be alot better off - You'll feel better too.

Go try Google Groups. You can go to the Google section and ask for a review in terms of Google. if your site was done in Dreamweaver you can go to Google. Groups. Macromedia. Dreamweaver and ask for a review from their perspective. I would assume the same possibilities exist in their php forum or frontpage forum. In many of those forums you will come acrooss some of the same names you see here. You'll probably get better results (and gain insight) if you check into others' sites as well. You can certainly glean info pertaining to how your site comes across on the various screen, browser, platform, network speed combos out there.

For a reasonable sum you can try Google Answers too, if there's a problem with your site they'll rip it to shreds ;-) In a constructive way of course. I've seen a lot of people ask for site reviews in there & the advice looks quite helpful. As I say, not free, but not a rip-off either.
