It would be cool if members could subscribe to a list where WW would send out an email when the G update starts, with a link to "THE" thread, of course...

Clark, to be honest some days I go right to certain forums straight away and miss the homepage altogether unless I catch it later.

I'd kind of like a notification not only for the Google update threads, which I watch closely for anyway, but whenever something is added to the homepage, since it's always either something exciting and newsworthy or well worth extra attention.

I suppose there would have to be a whole separate mailing list set up for notifications, and I may or may not have my email program open. So even though it's not 100% instantaneous when forwarded, I'd just as soon be able to get a StickyMail notification when the update starts or something's posted to the homepage. That way I could see right away when I arrive here, or get notified by email shortly after the sticky message arrived, since I'm set for email notification of stickymail messages.

That way I'd have it all and not miss anything.
