Hi,

I really miss the ability to click on the link to print the current thread which was at the bottom of each page.

What was really nice about the feature was that the entire thread, not just the current page of the thread, was shown on one "ready to print" page -- not just the current "page X of y".

Sometimes it's nice to print a thread out to read later when you are going to be away from the computer.

It's also nice to have all pages of a many page thread on one browser page/window so you can search all pages of a multi page thread with a single search (using the built in browser search).

Please add this feature back in.

Thank you,

Louis

OOPS!

Never mind.

I was viewing WebmasterWorld after cleaning out by cookies and stuff...
so was not logged in....and wasn't given the "printer friendly" option.

Now I see it.

Sorry for this post.

Moderators please DELETE!

Thanks,

Louis

Occasionally (when I remember) I'll go to the printer friendlier version just to read a thread if it's long.

For printing, sometimes after being printed there are more posts added, so instead of printing the whole thing all over again (which is what happens using the icon with my printer), I'll use File > Print and do From page(n) to Page(n) so it'll pick up right about where it left off and avoid extra duplication of the first pages.

Louis, you always do seem to bring up good topics, even if it's by accident. ;)

If you still want the thread deleted send a stickymail, but this could be a good little bit of information to have here in case anyone else runs into the same problem in the future.

Just thought I'd take the opportunity to thank you for having brought some good subjects to the table for us to discuss over time; they're always interesting and thought-provoking.

Feel free to leave it if it might help someone else.

BTW, if this item would be good for a FAQ item, it might also be nice to point out to folks that several options, such as the ability to post a reply or start a new thread, only show up after one has logged in...at least I noticed quite a difference in options available pre login .vs post login.

A new user might not figure out they need to register and login before they can post...not see how to post...and just surf away. Just a thought.

Take care,

Louis
