Forum Moderators: open
I know the Supporters Forum requires contributing to WW.
What I can't find anywhere (yes, I've used the search and read the "NOW OPEN" thread, and the thread from back in August) is what the benefit of joining (contributing) is in the sense of what's there that isn't in the general threads.
I've learned a lot here, and am willing to contribute.
Surely there must be some description or summary of what this new forum is about?
Are the subjects covered in more depth?
Is the help offered more specific?
What are the benefits of paying to get access to that particular forum?
Afraid so :)
The donate button [look top right] was here long before the secret forum, the new forum is just a thank you to people who have contributed. It is the act of contributing that helps keep the whole system going not the special forum.

I couldn't comment on what goes on behind closed doors. Mind you that thread on how to tell if you are banned from <edit>major search engine</edit> was mind blowing.

Given the caliber of the people involved, you can pretty much assume what we are discussing.
Thanks for considering donating.
My 2-cents
Those that join are usually already well-accustomed to our culture, so we don't really have to be on constant watch for promotional posts, flame-baits, or rude behavior. Not having to worry about urls being posted takes a massive load off moderating.
Many of the members that have been around awhile have commented that "it feels like the start-up days of WebmasterWorld" --I think it's about as close as we're going to get.
> inner forum becomes as popular as the public forum?
I don't know. I expect the volume of the inner forum will one day cause it to start sub-dividing and spawning other inner forums, just as Foo and Webmaster General did for the public ones when they were being formed. There's going to be growth there, no doubt about it, but, as mentioned above, the demands of moderation are so much less on the inner boards that it makes it pretty easy to handle. ...The only problem is that there isn't enough time to read everything already!
