My home page URL does not show when viewing profile

But it's there when I edit my own profile

Is this a bug, or some sort of restriction I am unaware of? Thanks for any and all help.

Nah - put that in for junior members to thwart profile spam and shopping that had gotten out of hand.

Thanks for the reply, Brett. I'll be patient and wait until I've made a few more posts.

Brett

I have a similar problem. At first my site didn't show, then when I commented on it in a post it reappeared, and now it's gone again.

So what do I have to do to get it back?

I think if this is now policy, it should be stated what the policy is, and made clear on the control panel page, say.

Post a policy and within 5mins people will figure out a way around it.

Happily I never put any of my websites in my profile. Seeing it removed by others certainly would have bothered me.

I did put an email address and later removed it. Come to think of it this could be a means for profile spamming. Most members must have at least one email address that refers to the same domain as one of their websites.

Do you really consider adding a single email address to your profile to be spamming? If so, then posting at all would have to be considered spamming.

Personally I like checking out memberīs websites. It never occured to me that their putting their web or email address in their profile is something that shouldnīt be done for fear of it being labeled as spam.

It never occured to my mind that someone would consider me to be a spammer. But someone actually did. And someone might think that using my full name here is profile spamming. (And forum spamming.)
