I need some paid assistance. I was going to post in the Commercial Exchange section but there doesnt seem to be much happening.

I locate messages with similar requests to mine, and when I then click through to the posters homepage via profile, I see that their site has not had the requests done.

It's like punters are posting in there but a) not getting anyone to offer services, b) services offered but unable to negotiate a good deal.

Is it worth posting in there or would I be better off searching for professional services?

I'm looking for some graphic dude / dudette to help refurbish a site by creating some logos and backgrounds etc.

Well, posting there is free, and only takes a moment, so no reason not to give it a shot... :)

<added>Better yet, I'll just move this post over there for you!</added>

I check the forum looking for possibilities but not everyday. Sorry - I'm not a graphics person.

Frank, our Commercial Exchange is a little different from the other forums. It's not for discussion - in fact, posts are automatically locked to avoid discussion and responses, unless they're moved there from another forum. When that happens they're manually locked. That keeps it strictly between the parties concerned.

It's simply a place we provide to either post for services needed or offered. Nothing more or less - a place to exchange needs and offers.

This was posted to encourage people to post who might feel reluctant for one reason or another:

The bottom line is that there are people here with a need for services, and talented and knowledgeable people with the ability to provide the services. It takes less than 5 minutes to read the charter and post, and it's free. No frills, no commission, no promises and no strings attached. :)
