Notification of Google Updates?

Just a thought after seeing a lot of us (including self) checking, reading false threads, ... to find if Google has updated indeed!.

I am thinking this could be an opportunity for WebmasterWorld or Google itself to start a pay service to alert (SMS, mobile text message, email) the subscribers of the Google update!.

I am sure there will be subscribers of this service (my self included) if there is a reasonable fee for a reliable notification system!

I've been thinking of setting something like this up - but I'm not sure whether Google would let me check them every 15 minutes without penalty - perhaps GoogleGuy could answer.... (I think it would save them a lot of bandwidth so they should be happy with it!)
