If it does have (invisible) PR then is this boosted by making lots of posts to the forums beacuse every post has a link to your User Profile? Should we all be trying like crazy to post messages, however inconsequential?
If this was true then all those crazy neurotics who insist on talking about the update will find their site's PR considerably enhanced. Oh, and those who are still exasperated about the PR0 penalties - if they ever get that penalty lifted - will go up to PR7 just on the PR transfer from their contributions to Webmasterworld.

[edit reason] probably not a good idea to use othr members as examples [/edit]
I think that it is far too much work for one little link but saying that I'm sure there will be people out there who won't think twice about adding to the next pointless thread about googles dance now they know they get a little reward for it.
I'm sure you will be able find some help there.
Yes, most certainly... it should be 544.

No wonder I'm unemployable.
The only reason I don't have a link in there is plain old paranoia. They'll get me if they know who I am!
I think it was Mayor or MakeMeTop who said that we are all spammers (sorry if I mis-quote) meaning that SEO itself is potential manipulation and could be viewed as spamming. Now... if a search engine took that view.. one strategy could be to zip through WebmasterWorld and hammer every profile site. It wouldn't be very clever of them, but from the history of some of these outfits (not all) it isn't impossible either.
And you thought I was joking about the paranoia?
