But I was on google as i am most of the day looking at my site and how to improve it when i was looking through the similar pages section. And i realised there were about 50 of WW's webpages listed as similar to my site.... I can assure you that theres no simularitys at all, and as i studied it more i realised the reason they were there or my so called guess of why they were there was due to the link in my profile on WW.
Just a thought but wouldnt that take away from the relevancy for what my site is actually about if google thought i had something to do with webmasterworld stuff? Its just a thought i was having i obviously took my link down but i was just looking to get some otheres opinions on this.

I guess the point Im making is that we have the attitude a link is a link, but mabey a link from an irevelant source could cause more harm then help, why mabey your page rank goes up it doest help where you are in the SE results mabey thats part of the factor of why PR 3's sit higher then PR 6's in the serps some times.
Something about G using "natural language patterns" in its algo...i.e. probably for keyword density, gramatically correct sentences etc....maybe someone can mention more about "natural language patterns" as I'm sure they play a good part in the "brains" of the algo.
Maybe the bot has caught on to your writing style :) Just a shot in the dark!
Given that most of the members here are in promotion or webmastery, the profile link will certainly help a site.
A profile referral is the most powerful referral there is. It's prequalified, highly relavant traffic.
