Occasionally, when a thread has run it's course, it will get locked to prevent other topics from developing within that thread. Keeping the discussions focused make it easier for new members to locate information they are interested in.

Manual. We didn't want a debate on GG's credentials. WG gave a definative answer to the original question. The forum topic is Google, not their employees who graciously post here.
