Volunteer your PC program to help fight cancer

Follow this link [members.ud.com] to read more. My adoptive mother has breast cancer, but is doing well now. She had both of her breast removed, and her lymph gnodes(sp?). She is in recovery. It was two years ago that she was diagnosed with cancer. My uncle made me aware of the Volunteer Your PC [members.ud.com] program to help researchers with data in their pursuit of a cure. I have placed a link to their site [members.ud.com] on my front page, and encourage you to do the same.

One little link to a site who is fighting cancer, and helping researchers, wont hurt. and, it could very well help.

Thanks for sharing this with us gravybigs, and about your Mom, too. My best friend of 20 years fought that same battle just a few years ago, and I've had several online friends who did also - and survived to reach out and offer support and hope to others.

I see it's sponsored by Intel. I was involved with a chat with a couple of their execs a few years ago, regarding educating women from early grade school on about tech careers. They are one of the most women-friendly companies around; they're much to be admired and respected for that.

Thanks. I really think the Volunteer Your PC is such a creative way of involving people. I hope, whether it is this link, or other good organizations that help people, that we all will use just a little real estate on our web sites to help others.

Running a biology site, this sort of thing is ideal for my site, I am all for promoting non-profit organizations like this one!

Similarly, entities involved in environmental protection etc im all for aswell
